I am active in environmental issues relating to my neighbourhood, Marrickville, in the inner-west of Sydney, and sit on the Council's Cooks River Committee.

I have overseen a number of grant funded projects in the area, including the construction of a bio-filtration swale with funding from the Sydney Metropolitan Catchment Management Authority, and a garden of Sydney rainforest species at Ferncourt Public School, funding by Transgrid, Australia Post and Landcare.

I am currently part way through a Masters of Environmental Management at the University of New South Wales, and hold a TAFE Certificate in Natural Area Restoration.
